What is High-Security hardware?
Different than a conventional Lock; a High-Security Lock houses a special cylinder
that prevents the lock from being “picked” open or “bump-keyed” by an un-authorized
individual. Even if they possess Locksmith Tools.
What is Key Control?
Knowing who has your keys & who is authorized to make duplicates is imperative in
managing your security. High-Security Keys work together with the cylinder to ensure
the integrity of the system. These keys are specific to the Locksmith who installs
the hardware and must have the proper credentials to receive a duplicate(s) from
the Locksmith; No one else has access to this key.
Which option is the best for me?
There are many different styles and name brands of High-Security Locks on the market
today that all serve the same purpose. Some will work with your existing hardware,
while others require the use of a new deadbolt or handle; most manufacturers offer
their cylinder with finishes that are commonly found on most homes. Some fancy handlesets
and knobs will also accept a High-Security Cylinder. Let us know what your expectations

Locks are Medeco, Primus by Schlage, Mul-T-Lock, and Scorpion to name a few.
How do I choose where the Locks go?
Put simply, any exterior door that accesses the home should have a High-Security
Cylinder installed in the deadbolt. Every home should have at least 2 access points.
If you have more than two exterior doors they can be dealt with as well without
the use of high security locks, just let us know when you call for a free estimate.
How much does it cost?
The better question is... How much is it worth? For the Homeowner who wants to ensure
